From the moment I meet the pet or see a photograph of them, I am keen to determine what the animals character is like. I believe the eyes are the mirror of the soul and the stories one hears of the pleasures they give us.
Having a dog myself I know that it's a very special bond and in doing a portrait of them, reminds one of those happy times and unique moments.

Many owners I've done portraits for have been moved to tears at the delight of how I've captured the essence of what their pet meant to them. This for me is the greatest reward.
That special bond, connection is unique and sometimes words cannot explain it alone, but when a portrait is shown alongside it can help in revealling their true nature.
My aim is to produce a portrait that will be a memento that will keep their souls alive and remind us of what pleasures our pets give us.
